Reagan Jackson is a black woman, writer, artist, massage enthusiast, mermaid impersonator, traveler, rum drinker, prayer practitioner, friend to young people, and a lover of awful teen soap operas and Fred Meyer fried chicken.  Above all she is a believer in the resilience of black joy. Like a flower blooming from the cracks in the concrete, Reagan's joy is stubborn, unexpected, and seemingly vulnerable, but hearty with a will to grow where it wants.
