JAY O'LEARY WOODS is an Afro Puerto Rican artist-activist, currently serving as Co-Artistic Director of Sound Theatre Company in Seattle. Woods consistently delivers compelling performances that draw high acclaim. Directing credits include the world premiere of REPARATIONS by award-winning playwright Darren Canady and CITIZEN: an American Lyric. Woods directed a series of video adaptations of Black Imagination (McSweeney's, 2020) showcasing original performances by Porscha Shaw, Jazmin Williams, Shermona Mitchell, Allyson Lee Brown, Manthurs Oseni, Wes Jones, Nicholas Japaul Bernard and Stephon Dorsey in the midst of a global pandemic remotely from Edinburgh, Scotland where she also completed her Master's degree in Directing.
